Prosperity Exercise #5: Your Abundance Collage

by Suzann Kale

Not only is this exercise fun to do, but it's super powerful.

All you do is collect enticing money-related visuals, and paste them up on a piece of cardboard in an artistic way.

In fact, it doesn't have to be strictly about money. Your abundance collage could be about abundance spiritual abundance, an abundance of friends and family, or even - why not? - an abundance of global kindness and peace in the world.

Some collage-makers like to use thick construction paper as a base, or you can choose a bulletin board or use a thin piece of wood you have in the garage. It should be large, perhaps 18-inches wide by 14-inches high or larger. It can be a square or a circle, whatever shape pleases you.

Next, write a title for your collage and paste it smack dab in the center of your board. The title should include your need. It might be a quote from a famous person, such as Gandhi's "Be the change you wish to see in the world," (I would make it more personal by saying "I am the change I wish to see in the world") or something of your own, like "Abundance Flows in the Pierson Home," or "My Ideal Career."

Collect all kinds of pictures, photos, small mementos, swatches of fabric, catchy phrases from magazines, drawings, scrapbook decorations, theatre programs, dried flowers - anything that reminds you of your goal. Paste them on your board around your title. Be as artsy as you like.

When finished, hang it next to your desk, on a wall, in the kitchen or bedroom - anywhere you'll easily see it a few times a day.

The key is to keep the title and the related visuals specific and on point. Don't wander around gluing pretty decorations on there unless they have something to do with your central theme. You should find that after your collage is hanging on your wall for a few weeks - up to a few months perhaps - your life will change. It will become more like the life you've pictured in your collage.
