Get Your Best Financial Advice - Free

You don't need to pay a financial advisor. We have the Internet! Here are some top quality, impartial sources for money management.

My favorite source of advice - and perhaps the most cutting edge and complete - is Suze Orman. Her site is awesome, huge, and has answers to just about any question you can think of. Check it out at www.suzeorman.com

Did you know you can get some of the Wall Street Journal  online for free? It's at financial advice http://online.wsj.com/public/us

I go to Quote.com all the time, and think very highly of them. They're at www.quote.com

CNBC is a global financial cable network. They have lots of news and advice on their site at www.cnbc.com

CNN has an informative money management section at http://money.cnn.com/

You can keep up with financial news easily by setting your home page to open automatically to Google's or Yahoo's financial news pages. http://finance.google.com/finance or http://finance.yahoo.com/

You might try other, smaller sites such as My Money Management (www.mymoneymanagement.net) and Free Financial Advice (http://www.free-financial-advice.net/)

Money Sites to Avoid

Do not waste your time on (in my humble opinion, and I've tried these):

  • paid online surveys
  • sites or ads that promise you'll make money but don't say how
  • real estate schemes (unless you're already trained in real estate and know what you're doing - but at that point you probably don't need someone else's scheme)
  • pyramid marketing groups

The best way to manage your money is to be impeccably organized and to keep up to date on world and local financial developments.
